Job summary

WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, is seeking an Anchor/Reporter who brings energy to the desk and in the field. You will enterprise exclusives, tell compelling stories, and manage live shots with credibility, poise, and personality.

You will write and edit scripts with viewer interaction in mind and mentor reporters and producers. You are versatile, work fast under deadlines, develop sources, and can handle tough questions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of anchor experience required.
• 2+ years of reporting experience required.
• In-person attendance is required.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle time-sensitive news.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scripted and ad-lib material with professionalism and personality.
• Mentor reporters and producers in newscast production.
• Plan and assemble stories for day-of news or special projects.
• Develop exclusive enterprise angles and sources for big stories.
• Appear at public events on behalf of the station.
• Contribute visuals and text for mobile platforms and social updates.
