Job summary

McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLP seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to manage administrative tasks for legal cases, draft and format documents, and maintain electronic files. Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, filing pleadings with courts, maintaining client relations, scheduling, and proofreading documents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent; some college a plus.
  • 3–5 years of Litigation Paralegal experience or familiarity with litigation/bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Certified Paralegal is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and format memoranda, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Read and electronically profile emails; handle electronic filing with courts.
  • Maintain superior client relations and manage calendaring for attorneys.
  • Schedule appointments and depositions; coordinate seminars and luncheons as requested.
  • Work with paralegals and attorneys in a team environment; maintain structured case files.
  • Transcribe and proofread legal documents; draft pleadings such as complaints and motions.
  • Generate reports and manage production of documents; identify privileged materials.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
