Job summary

Kutak Rock LLP has an opening for a Litigation Paralegal in its Northwest Arkansas office. The role supports multiple attorneys in a busy civil litigation practice with a focus on discovery, deposition preparation, and trial support.

The position is full-time, in-office, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week, located in Rogers. Candidates should have 3+ years paralegal experience, preferably in healthcare or medical malpractice; strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; Bachelor’s degree and/or completion of an accredited paralegal program given preference.
• 3+ years of paralegal experience required; healthcare or medical malpractice litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare law or medical malpractice within a law firm or legal department.

Responsibilities

• Perform legal and nonlegal research.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Assist with case management, strategy, and progression.
• Assist with deposition preparation including witness outlines and exhibits.
• Coordinate discovery with subpoenas, objections, responses, and deposutions.
• Gather, review, and produce documents during discovery.
• Prepare for and attend depositions and prepare summaries of materials.
• Assist in trial prep: notebooks, direct/cross examinations, travel arrangements.
• Assist at trial if needed.
• Track billable hours and expenses.
