Job summary

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP in Houston is seeking a experienced litigation paralegal to support multiple cases and trial teams. The role requires strong interpersonal, organizational and technical skills, with a focus on eDiscovery and complex document management.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate (ABA approved) along with at least six years of law firm experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of law firm experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing multiple litigation dockets.
• Assist in preparation of responsive and dispositive pleadings.
• Conduct fact research.
• Assist with document collection, processing and production through internal litigation support department and outside discovery vendors.
• Experienced in eDiscovery platforms.
• Request, organize and review employment and medical records.
• Assist preparation of attorneys and witnesses for deposition.
• Assist with preparation for filings, hearings, trial and post-trial appeal.
• Attendance in trial, hearing and court proceedings.
