Job summary

Prestigious international law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in the Labor and Employment practice group from case inception through post-trial. The role includes research, discovery, document management, and trial preparation.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of paralegal experience, a paralegal certificate or equivalent, and knowledge of legal terminology and governing agencies (EEOC, NLRB, DOL). Familiarity with Relativity and ESI projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 3–5 years of experience as a paralegal; large law firm experience preferred
• Knowledge of legal terminology, forms and documents (pleadings, discovery, etc.)
• Familiarity with government agencies involved in labor & employment matters (EEOC, NLRB, DOL) a plus
• Familiarity with Relativity and ESI projects

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all stages of cases from onset through post-trial
• Oversee organization and maintenance of case documents and materials
• Assist with discovery, including deposition prep, written discovery, and expert discovery prep
• Conduct document reviews and track review progress and results
• Draft subpoenas and arrange for service of process
• Prepare FOIA requests to government agencies
• Assist with law and motion practice and trial preparation
• Maintain accurate timekeeping records
