Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for a well-established law firm in Jacksonville, Florida. The role supports a busy litigation practice with a strong emphasis on insurance defense matters, requiring at least 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities include drafting and filing pleadings, managing calendars and deadlines, handling discovery and case management, and maintaining file integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation legal assistant experience.
• Insurance defense experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Florida state court filing procedures.
• Experience managing multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
• Prepare, draft, revise, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial schedules.
• Assist with discovery, document production, and case management.
• Maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and other materials for hearings and trial preparation.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
