Job summary

LHH is seeking a Legal Assistant with insurance defense litigation experience to join our client’s complex civil litigation team. This in-office role is essential in supporting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, from pre-trial preparation through post-trial documentation.

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in legal roles and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. In addition to administrative tasks, the role requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in complex civil litigation or similar legal roles is highly desirable.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities with strong emphasis on precision and detail.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with attention to grammar, punctuation, and style.

Responsibilities

• Manage calendars and administrative tasks for attorneys.
• Coordinate meetings, deadlines, and case-related activities.
• Draft legal correspondence, including letters and filings.
• Organize and maintain digital and physical case files.
• Conduct legal and case law research.
• Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with billing and administrative tasks.
• Communicate with clients and court officials.
