Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant to provide instructional support in classrooms across elementary, middle, or high schools. You will assist licensed teachers, reinforce skills, and help create a safe, encouraging learning environment for students.

The role requires collaboration with teachers to plan lessons, monitor student progress, and support students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
• Ability to support diverse learners and communicate effectively.

• Ability to collaborate with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with instructional activities and classroom facilitation.
• Aids teachers with planning and organizing materials.
• Demonstrates professional skills to support the school program.
• Works with individuals or groups of students as needed.
• Participates in staff development and growth.
• Maintains a positive disposition and professional judgment.
• May conduct vision/hearing screenings and enter results in EASi.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
