Job summary

The role supports classroom teachers by reinforcing learning objectives and guiding students in small groups and independent work. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 60 college credits or an associate degree or ParaPro, plus prior experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional support experience in classrooms.
• Ability to assist with small groups and individualized instruction.
• Experience aiding students with established goals and routines.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers by reinforcing learning objectives.
• Lead small-group or one-on-one activities.
• Assist with large and small group instructions and transitions.
• Guide independent study as directed by teachers.
• Report student issues to teachers and help resolve them.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other periods.
• Help maintain classroom behavior and safety policies.
