Job summary

SPEC Building Materials Corporation in Florida is seeking an Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate to handle order placement, pricing, and delivery coordination, serving as the first point of contact for customers. This full-time, in-person role requires attention to detail and strong communication to support contractors and builders.

You will contribute to growing the customer base, source special order items, and ensure accurate entry of all orders while advising on inventory and pricing

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Proficient computer and software skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Experience in building materials industry preferred.
• Strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Selling building materials from the customer service counter.
• Maintain and grow existing customer base through prospecting and follow-up.
• Sourcing special order items for contractors.
• Ensuring all customer orders are entered accurately.
• Advising customers on inventory levels and pricing.
• Cash application and reporting.
• Answering the phone and directing calls.
• Scheduling and answering questions regarding deliveries.
