Job summary

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Construction & Fabrication Technician to join its Construction Self-Perform Team in Reno, NV. The technician will support industrial construction, piping, sheet metal fabrication, and equipment improvements across ABTC facilities.

This hands-on role requires 3–5 years of experience, the ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, and mechanical drawings, and proficiency with PVC, carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum fabrication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial mechanical construction, fabrication, pipefitting, welding, or related trades.
• Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, mechanical drawings, and equipment layouts.
• Experience with industrial piping installation and mechanical assembly.
• Hands-on experience with plastic, carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum piping, and other fabrication materials.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, assemble, and install mechanical, piping, and structural components.

Responsibilities

• Support industrial construction, mechanical installations, piping systems, sheet metal fabrication, and equipment improvements across ABTC facilities.
• Read and interpret drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, and field measurements.
• Collaborate with electrical and general construction teams as needed.
