Job summary

Hancock Regional Hospital's Fitness & Wellness Center in Greenfield, IN is hiring a part-time Group Exercise Instructor to lead safe, effective classes and promote the center's programs.

You will greet members, coordinate substitutes, manage equipment, enforce center policies, and maintain CPR/BLS certifications while delivering exceptional customer service and professional conduct in all interactions.

Qualifications

• General group exercise or specialty certification in area of classes taught at HWC within 6 months of hire
• BLS (Basic Life Saving)/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required

Responsibilities

• Performs safe and effective group exercise classes
• Arrives before start of scheduled class time to set-up, clocking in per policy
• Greets members and guests by name with a smile and delivers world-class customer service
• Finds substitute instructors for own classes when needed and notifies supervisor
• When a sub cannot be found, offers a replacement class of a different format
• Follows procedures for malfunctioning equipment and logs the issue
• Enforces center rules, regulations, and policies
• Promotes programs and services regularly
• Responds to emergencies per facility policy
• Maintains professionalism and annual education requirements
• Assumes other duties and projects as assigned
