Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification through AFAA as a Group Exercise Instructor is required.
• Additional certification with ACE, ACSM, AEA, USWFA or similar is required to teach specific aerobics classes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct quality group exercise classes.
• Arrive early and stay after to assist participants.
• Choose safe, effective exercises and modify as needed.
• Maintain class format and target appropriate intensity.
• Select suitable music tempo and style for each class.
• Cue movements clearly to help clients perform safely.
