Job summary

Universal Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment, seeks an experienced HR Generalist to join our HR Team. You will handle recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and employment law compliance in a collaborative setting.

You will develop and implement HR programs, manage leave policies, conduct background checks, and support managers with disciplinary matters while ensuring legal compliance and data confidentiality

Qualifications

• Associates degree in HR, business admin, or related field.
• At least 1 year of HR management experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP knowledge and union awareness a plus.
• Good understanding of employment laws and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring with managers.
• Manages training compliance and ongoing education tracking.
• Conducts background checks and employment verifications.
• Implements onboarding and employee recognition programs.
• Administers compensation, benefits, and leave programs.
• Handles employee inquiries, disciplinary matters, and investigations.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Maintains knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and tech.
• Performs other HR duties as assigned.
