Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(s).
• Illinois teaching certificate required (PEL or ELS).
• Candidate demonstrates knowledge of instruction planning and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare written lesson plans aligned to instructional objectives.
• Establish positive learning expectations and evaluate pupil progress.
• Maintain attendance records, seating charts, and conduct with CPS Uniform Discipline Code.
• Communicate with parents about academic progress, attendance, and conduct.
• Participate in professional meetings and may coordinate field trips or after-school activities.
