Job summary

South Spencer High School in Indiana is seeking a qualified Spanish teacher to develop students' speaking, reading and writing skills in the Spanish language and to cultivate an understanding of cultures where Spanish is the primary means of communication.

The teacher will plan engaging daily lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents and staff to support student learning within a safe and respectful classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
• License required: Indiana Spanish for high school setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• 181 day contract.
• Ten sick leave days and five personal leave days.
• TRF position with certified benefits.
• Salary range based on degree, certification, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in educational settings.
• Plans daily classroom instructional activities.
• Keeps daily student attendance.
• Communicates with parents, teachers, administrators, and related service providers as needed.
• Serves on teams and committees as needed.
• Maintains professional certification through ongoing development.
• Demonstrates professionalism and ethics in collaboration with school staff and community.
