Woodlawn High School in southern Illinois seeks a principal to oversee curriculum, staff, and operations, ensuring safety and high standards. You will lead the school to meet district goals while engaging with students, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities include implementing board policies, supervising teachers and staff, communicating with the Superintendent and community, and managing budgets, records, and programs to support student achievement.

Formación

• MS in school administration and IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with principal endorsement preferred.
• At least 4 years in an educational setting.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with stakeholders.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull up to 10 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate.
• Plans, organizes, and directs implementation of all school activities.
• Keeps the Superintendent informed of school's activities and problems.
• Supervises instructional programs and evaluates lesson plans regularly.
• Prepares reports and paperwork for school administration.
• Maintains safety, order, and cleanliness of facilities.
• Works with administrative staff on transportation and other services.
• Hires, evaluates, and supports teachers and staff.
• Ensures compliance with board policies and regulations.
