Job summary

Glenbrook High School District 225 seeks a dynamic Principal to serve as instructional, organizational, and cultural leader, starting July 1, 2027. The role advances the district’s mission and supports student success through strong leadership in teaching, learning, safety, and resources.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in education or administration, IL license with admin endorsement, and at least five years of high school leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or school administration (Ed.D. or Ph.D. preferred).
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a General Administration or Principal endorsement.
• Progressive teaching/administration experience in education.
• Minimum of five years of full-time administrative experience in a high school.
• Experience supervising educational leaders from diverse areas.
• Principal and Teacher Evaluator Designation.
• Staff Development Experience.
• Ability to present documents at a high level of sophistication.
• Ability to manage fiscal, physical, and human resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional, organizational, and cultural direction of the school.
• Oversee personnel, student services, safety, budgeting, scheduling, facilities, and compliance.
• Align programs with the district’s mission and student needs.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
• Build trust and strong relationships with staff and stakeholders.
