Illinois Education Job Bank is seeking an experienced Assistant Principal to help supervise and guide junior high and elementary education programs in Country Club Hills, IL. The role supports the principal and district leadership in curriculum, discipline, and operations.

The position emphasizes strong administrative leadership, collaboration with department heads, budget involvement, and safe, well-organized school operations within a full-time, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with training in administration, supervision and curriculum development.
• Illinois State Certification, Type 75, with supervisory or administrative endorsements.
• 5+ years of teaching/administrative experience at middle school level.
• 3 years of certified position experience.
• Strong leadership in instruction and staff performance.
• Ability to make firm decisions and delegate responsibilities.
• Knowledge of sound middle school educational programs.
• Ability to develop and implement educational plans for middle schools.
• Ability to create and implement new educational programs.
• Ability to function as a member of the district's administrative team.

Responsabilités

• Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school.
• Serve as a principal in the absence of the regular principal.
• Propose schedules of classes and extracurricular activities.
• Supervise the preparation of student schedules.
• Work with department heads and faculty on annual budget requests.
• Requisition supplies, textbooks and equipment; conduct inventories; maintain records.
• Assist in safety inspections and safety drill practices.
• Coordinate transportation, custodial, cafeteria and other support services.
• Supervise reporting and monitoring of student attendance and investigations.
• Assist in maintaining discipline and handling special cases.
• Collaborate with parents, faculty and student groups on activities and objectives.
• Administer the student insurance program.
• Perform record-keeping as directed by the principal.
• Supervise teachers and departments as assigned.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the principal.
