Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• MA teaching license in high school mathematics, including SEI endorsement
• Strong content knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching math at the high school level and differentiated instruction
• Ability to think critically, problem-solve, backwards plan, analyze data and prioritize student needs
• Teaching experience with a track record of achievement gains is ideal
• Commitment to a structured school environment and student success

Responsibilities

• Implement curricula using HQIM and activities to engage students in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, or Statistics.
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards
• Connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications, technology and STEM careers
• Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
• Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions
• Be accountable for students' mastery of academic standards; communicate with students, families, and colleagues
