Job summary

Ridgevue High School in the Vallivue School District is seeking an Event Worker to support athletic and activity events. This temporary position involves ticketing, gate supervision, scorekeeping, crowd management, and public announcements, with emphasis on customer service and professional representation of the school and district.

Responsibilities include event setup/cleanup, cash handling, and ensuring safety and smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate courteously with students, staff, officials, participants, and the public.
• Remain calm and exercise sound judgment in stressful situations.
• Accurately handle money, tickets, records, or event equipment when required.
• Work independently while remaining responsive to the event administrator.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance for accepted assignments.
• Stand, walk, or remain outdoors for extended periods depending on the event.
• Be available for evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Report to the assigned event location on time and remain until released by the athletics director or event supervisor.
• Check in with the supervisor before starting duties.
• Perform duties such as selling or verifying admission tickets, supervising gates, and making public announcements.
• Operate scoreboards and other event equipment and keep score/records.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and facility preparation; monitor designated areas.
• Follow cash handling, attendance, and financial reconciliation procedures.
• Maintain security of money, tickets, equipment, and credentials.
• Provide professional public-address announcements when assigned.
