Job summary

Gold's Gym is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead group fitness classes in a current format, motivate participants, ensure safety, and deliver clear instruction on technique and modifications.

Required: CPR/AED and first aid, nationally recognized group fitness certification (ACE/AFAA/ACSM), at least six months teaching experience, ability to choreograph and cue, and maintain equipment and studio cleanliness.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification and basic first aid training are required.
• Minimum of six months teaching in a group exercise environment.
• Nationally recognized group fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM).
• Verifiable proof of specialized skill/training such as Yoga, Pilates, Body Pump, Body Attack.
• Knowledge of choreography, cueing technique and safe transitional movement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver group fitness classes on schedule and with approved formats.
• Instruct participants on proper techniques, demonstrate exercises and modifications.
• Provide clear verbal instructions and maintain an upbeat, motivating atmosphere.
• Coach participants to achieve goals while monitoring for injury or overexertion.
• Maintain equipment, room cleanliness, and coordinate substitutes when needed.
