Job summary

In-Shape Fitness is seeking dynamic instructors/coaches to lead group fitness and recreational sports programs. You will monitor member progress, ensure safe expressions of exercise, and create engaging classes for all ages, live or virtual.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certifications must be submitted and on file.
• National certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM, ISSA) or format-specific training accepted to teach free programming.
• Lifeguard certification must be held to teach aqua programming; in-house training provided after hire.
• 2+ years of team sports experience to teach free programming.
• National certification required to teach paid programming (USPTA, USTA Net Generation, USAPA, IPTPA, US Masters).
• Audition is required as part of the selection process.
• Strong motivational skills and positive coaching mindset.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Trustline Registered to coach children.
• Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Current CPR or ability to pass CPR within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Motivate members to explore multiple group fitness classes, recreational sports programs and club amenities to enhance their fitness journey.
• Promote and participate in club events encouraging members and guests to attend through social media channels and engaging members in the club.
• Connect with members by being welcoming and approachable; teach authentically and give genuine praise.
• Validate member’s access to paid programming.
• Deliver a motivating instructional experience in every class with solid cuing and a seamless class flow.
