Requirements include high school diploma or GED, CPR/AED and First Aid, YMCA group exercise certification or equivalent, and current class-format certification. This role offers a supportive, community-focused environment with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• CPR/AED for Adults, Children and Infants and First Aid certification.
• Foundations of YMCA Group Exercise or equivalent/group exercise certification.
• Current certification in the specific class format highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design classes that adhere to the designated format and are suitable for participants' abilities.
• Teach scheduled classes with energy and enthusiasm.
• Demonstrate skills and explain them clearly to participants, matching intensity levels.
• Use movement modifications and encourage participants to work at their own pace.
• Plan class composition and choreography, and vary music and routines.
• Record attendance accurately and ensure participant safety; know emergency procedures.
