Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have 2yrs of RN Inpatient experience
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Illinois license (IDFPR)
• ACLS certification within 1 year from American Heart Association
• BLS certification within 30 days from American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties specific to the unit's scope of service
• Implements procedures and care theories for the practice area
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation for the healthcare team
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops an appropriate care plan
• Implements and monitors the care plan and nursing interventions
• Modifies care plans to ensure patient and staff safety
• Communicates with colleagues to resolve issues
• Precepts staff and collaborates with multidiscipline team
• Identifies learning needs and pursues solutions
• Meets departmental competency requirements
• Floats to various inpatient units as needed
• Completes Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed
• Coordinates care with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care
