Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS completed during orientation.
• PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire; hospital provides it.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN preferred; BSN obtainable within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical/Surgical units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and patient education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
