BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security Officer to support the University of Texas at Austin. You will help ensure the safety of attendees, staff, and property while maintaining a professional presence throughout events.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Strong physical fitness for standing/walking extended periods.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and with diverse people.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess a valid security license or willingness to obtain one.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence to client and BEST standards.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activities and ensure safety.
• Monitor access points, conduct bag checks, and screen entrants.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies.
• Coordinate with staff, law enforcement, and emergency services.
• Provide exceptional attendee assistance and directions as needed.
• Report incidents to supervisors and relevant authorities.
• Document relevant activity and submit reports to leadership.
• Uphold company policies and security protocols.
