Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services in Berkeley, CA is hiring part-time Event Security personnel for college sports, concerts and festivals. Roles include bag checks, access control and delivering excellent guest service. You must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and obtain a California Guard Card if required.

Weekly pay is offered with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities include entry screening, traffic direction, and keeping guests safe while upholding site policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Background check and drug/alcohol test required; additional screening if driving a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Manage venue entry: tickets, wristbands, badges, and traffic flow.
• Screen guests at entry via bag search, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring for security breaches at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Understand venue policies and procedures across different facilities/events.
• Provide a positive entrance experience and offer directions to enhance entertainment.
