Qualifications

• Master's degree in English, composition, creative writing, rhetoric, literature or comparative literature.
• Or a master's degree in any discipline and 24 graduate credits in English, composition, creative writing, rhetoric, literature or comparative literature.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in a classroom, lab, learning center, or other setting as appropriate.
• Prepares, distributes, and utilizes instructional materials, including course syllabi, supplementary materials, instructional media, and other devices; incorporates latest classroom technology where available.
• Structures classes and curriculum to correspond with program objectives; prepares clear objectives for students each course; maintains currency of curriculum.
• Maintains evaluation and grading records for assigned students; enters grades within established timelines.
• Understands and abides by college policies and safety practices; contributes to a diverse learning environment.

Education

Master's degree in English or 24 graduate credits in English-related fields
