Qualifications

• Master's degree with 24 graduate hours in health, health and fitness, exercise physiology or physical education.
• Minimum one year of full-time or part-time teaching and/or coaching experience.
• Current American Red Cross Instructor certification OR American Heart Association certification in First Aid, AED, CPR for the Professional Rescuer or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in a classroom, lab, learning center or other setting as appropriate.
• Provides student contact before or after class or through telephone or email exchanges or office hours where facilities and schedules permit.
• Prepares, distributes and utilizes instructional materials, including syllabi, supplementary materials and media; incorporates latest classroom technology where available.
• Structures classes and curriculum to correspond with program objectives; prepares clear objectives for students each course.
