Job summary

Green Leaf Senior Living is seeking an Engagement Director to plan and oversee activities that nurture the physical, mental, and social well-being of residents. You will lead daily programs, coordinate staff and volunteers, and drive resident participation in hospitalities and events.

The role requires passion for working with seniors, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, in Whittier, CA.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in activities programming, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong creativity and ability to design engaging programs.
• Genuine passion for working with seniors.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to assist in setting up and conducting activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and oversee a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, mental, and social needs of residents
• Lead and coordinate daily activities, events, and special programs
• Encourage and maximize resident participation and engagement
• Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers
• Prepare and manage materials, supplies, and activity schedules
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure activities are well-coordinated and safe
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and program effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and community standards
