Job summary

Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter Schools is seeking elementary teachers for a growing network of charter schools in Birmingham, AL. You will introduce and help students master concepts, aligned across subjects, with collaboration among teachers to ensure cross-curricular and thematic alignment.

Applicants should have content-area expertise in Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies, and ESL, with electives in Art, Spanish, or PE.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree strongly preferred
Valid Alabama teaching license and endorsements in hired content area or eligibility for licensure
Experience in urban teaching and educational leadership preferred
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
