The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to high standards for all students while aligning with district policies and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required.
• Doctoral Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
• Hold or be eligible for Maryland professional administrator licensure (Supervisor of Instruction, Assistant Principal, or Principal) or Administrator II Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate school personnel and monitor performance.
• Define the school's mission and communicate goals for the total program.
• Provide instructional leadership aligning curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Develop a SIP that supports district goals and state growth measures.
• Monitor student achievement using data and technology.
• Engage community stakeholders in student learning and school success.
• Create procedures and drills for emergencies and disasters.
• Lead continuous school improvement and manage the school’s resources.
