Job summary

Qualifications

• Active GA RN licensure and current nursing license.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• 1–2 years in utilization management or case management; 3–5 years direct patient care.
• Experience with InterQual or MCG guidelines.
• Understanding of payer requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate ED admissions using screening guidelines to determine status and level of care.
• Coordinate patient entry into NGMC beds and communicate with physicians and facilities.
• Refer cases for physician review and obtain status orders.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure appropriate length of stay and discharge planning.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within Care Coordination.
• Cross-train and support other ED RN Case Managers as needed.
