Job summary

Paycom in Oklahoma City seeks an Early Head Start Specialist to support the implementation of Head Start content areas and assist with day‑to‑day operations of the Early Head Start program.

The role collaborates with the Head Start Director, Center Directors, and Family Advocates to train staff, ensure regulatory compliance, monitor health records, and manage data entry and resources for family-centered services.

Qualifications

• Experience working with an EHS program and directing staff preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and good judgment required.
• Prefer a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
• A bachelor’s degree in Child Development or Early Head Start experience will be considered.
• Experience working with children and parents; current Oklahoma driver’s license and insurance verification required.
• Must meet health status and safety requirements as directed by relevant authorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training Early Head Start staff in formal and informal settings.
• Ensure appropriate staffing in classrooms.
• Assist in all Early Head Start content areas to facilitate a high‑quality program.
• Monitor program needs and requisition supplies; work with management to manage resources.
• Review family records for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Provide input to the Head Start Director regarding classroom functioning/needs.
• Attend pre-service, in-service, and out-of-agency training as required.
• Collaborate with specialists regarding children with special needs and documentation.
• Work with Health Education Specialist to meet regulations and standards.
• Data entry into the system for EHS families/children; include applications and reports.
• Participate in enrollment procedures for Early Head Start.
• Maintain required files and prepare correspondence and data reports.
• Receive end-of-month data from centers and process it.
• Develop and maintain monitoring systems for EHS quality.
• Maintain storage of documents as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• FBI/OSBI background check required.
