Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with children in a group setting is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role (lifting, moving, active movement).
• Must pass Connecticut background check.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple classrooms while maintaining consistent expectations and structure.
• Actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Help maintain safe, organized, and fully functioning classrooms.
• Follow health, safety, and supervision protocols without exception.
• Assist with daily routines, including diapering, meals, naps, and transitions.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Support curriculum implementation aligned with CTELDS.
