Job summary

Indera, formerly known as ARISE/EFR, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a bright young man with a developmental disability in Baldwinsville, NY. The DSP will help him build community connections, friendships, and participate in activities, including personal care tasks as needed.

The role requires reliability, energy, creativity, and flexibility with a varied schedule from Monday to Friday plus occasional weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.

Responsibilities

• Support a bright young man with developmental disability in building community connections and friendships.
• Assist with personal care tasks and participate in community activities.
• Navigate the community and accompany to activities, parks, mall or dining out as planned.
• Be reliable, energetic, creative and active and follow technology policies as required.
