Job summary

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide respite services for an active 13-year-old in the Camillus or Manlius areas. The role involves accompanying him in community activities, supporting health and safety, and providing transportation.

We are looking for an individual who is dependable, patient, enthusiastic, and able to work independently. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, as well as a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site on schedule.
• Experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the youth in community activities and outings.
• Support health and safety needs during activities.
• Provide transportation to appointments and events.
• Supervise and engage the youth to promote participation and safety.
