Job summary

The Lyon County School District seeks a Career and Technical Education Teacher to implement curriculum aligned with state standards and the district-approved CTE program. You will promote a positive classroom culture, monitor student progress, and support district goals.

The role requires Nevada licensure in the relevant subject area and a bachelor’s degree. The position is salaried and 9-months (185/189 days) with an exempt status and district-wide collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess and be able to acquire a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education and be certified in the relevant subject area.

Responsibilities

• Administer curriculum aligned with Nevada State Standards and Common Core.
• Ensure learning environment is respectful and focused on academics.
• Analyze student progress and provide individualized instruction and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with IEPs and related mandates.
• Maintain accurate records in PowerSchool.
• Collaborate with administration, staff, parents, and the community.
• Prepare students for state and national competitions as applicable.
• Participate in the School Improvement Plan (SIP) process.
