Job summary

Blue Central Group seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for full-time or PRN roles in Florida. You will work with licensed occupational therapists to implement functional treatment plans, assist ADLs, and help transport patients when needed.

Strong documentation skills and teamwork are essential. Ideal candidates have acute care exposure (hospitals, EDs) and a background in inpatient or outpatient therapy services.

Qualifications

• Active COTA credential
• Experience in acute care setting preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative care team
• Knowledge of ADLs and safety principles

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans created by OTs.
• Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Assist with patient transport within facilities and to appointments.
• Document care activities accurately in patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTs, SLPs and caregivers to optimize outcomes.
• Update care plans, progress notes and discharge summaries.
