Job summary

Odyssey-Rehabilitation in the United States seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of an OT. You will engage clients in ADLs, ROM exercises, and group activities, and collaborate with rehab team to tailor programs to each customer’s needs.

Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential as you support continuous, compassionate care and participate in care meetings and equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
• Eligible to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant per state guidelines.
• Able and willing to practice occupational therapy per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implements customer’s individualized treatment plan under the supervision of the OT.
• Provides OT treatments including activities of daily living and range of motion exercises.
• Performs activities of daily living evaluations under the OT direction.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the OT.
• Instructs customers, families and other caregivers in skills and techniques under OT supervision.
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all customers treated.
• Attends care and staff meetings as a representative of occupational therapy.
