Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Construction Associate to perform a broad range of construction, renovation, and labor tasks across Milwaukee-area facilities. You will assist with installations, site prep, and material handling in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with residential carpentry, construction labor, and related trades, plus the ability to read tape measures and operate various tools safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Capable of physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).
• Strong work ethic and safety focus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, remodeling, renovation, and facility improvement projects.
• Perform demolition, framing, carpentry, and general labor activities.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Assist with concrete preparation, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
• Support building and installation of offices, workspaces, equipment platforms, and facility improvements.
• Assist with moving, rigging, positioning, and installation of equipment and materials.
• Operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other construction equipment when qualified.
• Prepare job sites, maintain work areas, and ensure projects remain organized and safe.
• Load, unload, transport, and stage materials and equipment.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately.
• Follow construction drawings, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Work both independently and as part of a construction team.
• Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
