Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead construction, renovation, and facility-improvement initiatives across multiple locations. The role involves planning, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will supervise Assistant PMs, coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders, and report progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience managing commercial, industrial, or large-scale renovation projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, and contractor management skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction and facility improvement projects simultaneously.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company expectations.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate activities between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and provide regular project status updates.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Track project costs and approve invoices, change orders, and contractor billings.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers who support construction projects and documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor ongoing work and quality standards.
• Maintain project records, schedules, permits, contracts, and closeout documentation.
• Support capital planning and facility improvement initiatives.
