Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects across our Milwaukee-area locations. You will supervise Assistant PMs, coordinate with contractors and engineers, and ensure projects meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience, the ability to read blueprints, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience managing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale renovation projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and contractor management.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between Milwaukee-area facilities.
• Professional references demonstrating successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction and facility improvement projects simultaneously.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company expectations.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate activities between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and provide regular project status updates.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Track project costs and approve invoices, change orders, and contractor billings.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Manage and develop Assistant PMs who support construction projects and documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor ongoing work and quality standards.
• Maintain project records, schedules, permits, contracts, and closeout documentation.
• Support capital planning and facility improvement initiatives.
