Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking dedicated instructors to deliver engaging programs across Athletics, Recreation, Fine Arts, and Community Education. You will design lesson plans, demonstrate techniques, and manage classrooms for learners of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities include safety enforcement, feedback, and collaboration with program managers to shape class development while maintaining a professional demeanor with participants, staff, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or working in instructional settings; varies by class.
• Certification or a degree in a related field or level of expertise is required.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching group exercise programs.

Responsibilities

• Instructs classes, prepares lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Maintains safety measures and supervises class participants.
• Communicates with program manager on class development and scheduling.
• Provides feedback to participants on progress and performance.
• Creates a safe, engaging learning environment for all ages.
