Job summary

Cogent Bank is seeking a Commercial Lending Associate to assist with collecting financials, loan documentation, processing, closing, and monitoring while delivering quality service to bank’s customers.

You will provide administrative support to Relationship Managers and Leadership, coordinate with lenders on due diligence items, and help ensure BSA/AML compliance and proper data entry in the FIS core system.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in loan operations or as a loan assistant in a commercial bank.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with commercial loan documentation and processes.
• Strong organization and ability to meet deadlines with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with customers and lenders on ticklers and due diligence items.
• Assists with loan processing, closing, and monitoring.
• Provides administrative support to Relationship Managers and leadership.
• Pulls credit bureaus and OFAC reports when needed.
• Coordinates with Loan Ops and attorneys to prepare documents.
• Ensures BSA/AML compliance and CIP verification as required.
• Maintains data in the core system for billing and post-closing tasks.
• All other tasks directed by management.
