Job summary

Qualifications

• Commercial construction estimating or related project experience.
• Understanding of drawings, specifications, scopes and pricing.
• Experience performing takeoffs and assisting with bids or budgets.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Experience with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Background in contracting, interiors, framing, drywall, HVAC, plumbing or other trades is valued.
• Field experience combined with estimating responsibilities is strongly valued.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing or technically complex projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, budgets and detailed project estimates.
• Develop labor, material, equipment and subcontractor pricing.
• Request, evaluate and organize vendor and subcontractor proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, cost concerns and constructability issues.
• Assist with bid preparation, proposal development and project turnover.
• Coordinate with project management, operations and field leadership.
• Maintain organized estimating records, pricing information and bid documentation.
• Support value engineering, procurement planning and cost control efforts.
