Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant Certified to support providers and the care team, delivering patient-centered care under supervision. You will collect patient data, enter vitals, and help execute the plan of care.

The ideal candidate holds CMA/RMA certification, a high school diploma, and preferably a medical assistant program, and is prepared to perform injections, immunizations, EKGs, and prior authorizations while ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Preferred completion of a medical assistant program.
• CMA/RMA certification from a recognized body required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collection of patient data including vital signs and factors.
• Enter data and implement the plan of care as directed by the Provider.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and other assigned patient care tasks with proper training.
• Administer medications and injections under supervision.
• Complete prior authorizations and communicate prescriptions to pharmacies.
• Schedule appointments and maintain timely patient flow.
• Document all procedures accurately in the medical record.
• Triage questions/concerns to nursing staff and physicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
