Qualifications

• Completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain Illinois teaching certificate(s).
• Valid teaching license: PEL or ELS, endorsed for this position.
• Knowledge of state certification requirements and best practices in pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and instructional preparation aligned with program objectives.
• Evaluate pupil progress and maintain accurate records of achievements.
• Apply contemporary teaching methods and materials to support varied learning needs.
• Coordinate field trips and after-school activities as part of instruction.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about academic progress, attendance, and conduct.
• Maintain classroom discipline consistent with CPS Uniform Discipline Code.
