Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate or Substitute Certificate.
• Demonstrated ability to implement the ongoing instructional plan and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning in absence of the regular teacher.
• Cultural Competency; ability to effectively work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Implement the teacher's written lesson plans. Consult with site administration and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.
• Prepare a written summary of work completed. Inform teacher and/or site administration of special situations or problems encountered.
• Maintain proper control and discipline both inside and outside the classroom in a positive manner by establishing good rapport and adhering to district policy.
